Madam Josephine Martei has been a member of the Board of Directors of ASPI since 2010. She is the Ag. Executive Director of Freedom From Hunger, Ghana and is a highly sought after consultant with over 15 years experience in Microfinance, Gender issues, Administration & Training, Social Research and Project Impact Evaluation amongst many other areas.
Trained as a Nutrionist at the University of Ghana, Legon; she also has a MA in Economics & Development Studies (Manchester, U.K.). She has worked at the Ghana National Council on Women Development as a Counselling Officer and then as a Project Coordinator on several high profile projects including the World Food Programme/PAMSCAD Project and the USAID funded Colombia University/NCWD Market Operations Research Project.
She has worked with Freedom from Hunger since 1994, consulting on a plethora of projects since 1993. She is a member of the Washington-based Association on Women in Development, Greater Accra Branch of Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana, Akotex Foundation and various church committees. She has since retired.
